This Photo is very Jana. You could probably edit yourself out of it and use it again for some sort of location assignment. But seriously, I really enjoy it...it makes me immediately feel happy. If I had to use only one word to describe it, 'fun' would be it! The colors are very winter (obviously with all the snow, but still), and I love how you are wearing dark colors but are still separated from the background. My eyes are also drawn to the individual lights, each pointing in a slightly different direction. I like it.

Tops man -you did it. I love models being dropped into interesting landscapes. I agree -the shot would stand alone without you in it but a person gives it more life makes it feel more real -less surreal.
Did you set the camera and then run like hell? Or was there some fancy contraption in involved?

thx for the good vibes boys.. i have to admit, i've got another one i did that i think i'll have to post as well...

this light post was totally on a whim. I went out there with an idea to do something completely different and much more morbid and angsty. i decided that i didnt wanna hear everybody's lip (and i thought this was super fun) so this is what we got.

The outstretched pose does it - your almost throwing your arm and leg up at the towering structure as if to point at this obvious but less than ecstatic figure. At the same time you generate attention towards your barely visible figure. But I still think I'm too interested in the tower and not enough in the subject.

I like this one, Jana. I think it might say a lot about where you are right, now. I may be reading more than necessary into it, but it seems to be reflective of your new circumstances. I think you are very brave.

The cluster of lights at the top of the pole is really fantastic. I kind of want to see a bit more of the surroundings. Maybe if it were in a square format? The vertical crop may still be the best for the image but I feel like I need to see it as a square to satisfy my curiosity.

Maybe I just really love squares.

I could be so far off, But automatically this photograph gives me the impression you don't take yourself very seriously. Which of course is ok. It feels lighthearted but also like you are making yourself toylike. I feel like you are saying you are just not that important, I think you are, But do you think you are and if you don't then I think this photo is very effective. Hope that wasn't confusing.

yep, its true kristen, i dont think i am nearly as important as the "big picture" which is exactly why i am so small in the photo. I also am dealing with alot of isolation issues (as usual) so yeah. rock on.
